Who developed iKickButts?
iKickButts was developed by researchers at San Diego State University’s Center for Tobacco and the Environment, with funding from the California Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (#T32IP4770).
The iKickButts Team extends its sincere thanks to the many community organizations that participated in focus groups and field testing, providing invaluable feedback that helped shape the development of the app.
We are especially grateful to: Surfrider Foundation SD, United Women of East Africa Support Team, Sierra Club San Diego, Cigarette Butt Pollution Project, San Diego Housing Commission, Por La Vida, Crawford Community Connection, CASA (Community Action Service Advocacy), Comité Cívico del Valle, Back Fence Society / Only Losers Litter Program, Healthy Escondido, Asian Pacific Islander Initiative San Diego, San Benito County HHSA Public Health, and SDSU’s Applied Public Health Research class.
